Trailer Rental Policies

We understand that life happens and plans can change quickly, which is why our cancellation policy is designed to be accommodating. As a small business, we truly value our customers and aim to develop long-term relationships with those we serve. With that in mind, we also have clear renter requirements and strive to be as flexible as possible in all circumstances regarding reservation changes.

Please note:  All renters must be at least 25 years old and possess valid automotive insurance along with an acceptable tow vehicle. Likewise, all additional drivers must be at least 25 years old. No Exceptions. 

We reserve the right to cancel any reservation if it is determined that these renter requirements have not been met or have been falsified. 

In cases where a reservation is cancelled due to a violation of this policy, please be aware that our cancellation fee is 50% of the total reservation cost, along with a 3.5% service fee.

All  reservations require a refundable deposit of $150 at time of booking. Once your rental trailer has been returned and inspected,  the deposit will be refunded, less any balances due, to the card used for payment.  

Likewise, all rental  invoices  include a credit card authorization that must be completed in order to process  your reservation.  This allows for collection of any balances  due to Midsouth Trailer Rental LLC at the end of the rental contract. This includes damages, rental extensions, late or recovery fees,  cleaning or dump fees, and any services charges or taxes assessed.

If you need to make reservation changes, please contact us, preferably by phone, as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, keeping in mind that all changes are subject to the availability of trailers and equipment. 

In the event that you need to cancel your reservation entirely— cancellation requests made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled pickup will receive a full refund. However, cancellation requests made less than 48 hours prior to pickup may incur a late cancellation fee, which will be equal to the first 24 hours rental rate or 25% of the total reservation cost, whichever is greater. 

Please note that cancellation fees are assessed on a case-by-case basis, at the sole discretion of Midsouth Trailer Rental LLC.

If you anticipate being later than the contracted return time, please contact us as soon as possible. Trailers returned more than 30 minutes late are subject to a $30/hour late return fee.

Late return fees are assessed at the sole discretion of Midsouth Trailer Rental LLC.

Late pickups without prior notification or a request for reservation changes are not eligible for a refund or reimbursement for lost time. Any pickup that is more than 5 hours late without notification or a request for reservation changes will be deemed a no-show. 

No-show reservations will be canceled without a refund. 

The determination of any refund or reimbursement for late pickups and no-shows is at the sole discretion of Midsouth Trailer Rental LLC.

In the event that one of our trailers is abandoned by the renter or becomes impounded, a recovery fee of $5.00/mile for pickup and return trip, plus any towing or storage fees, will be charged to the card on file. 

Any personal property left on or in any of our trailers  at rental return or recovery  will become property of MIdsouth Trailer Rental LLC after thirty (30) days.  Forfeited property may be sold or disposed of at the discretion of Midsouth Trailer Rental LLC.

Any debris or refuse left on or in our trailers will be subject to  any and all dump,  additional cleaning  and applicable mileage cost, plus a 3.5% service fee.
